When our child was born with Down Syndrome, our first reaction was to be worried. We did not Know what Down Syndrome was , what kind of complications there would be, or what effect it would have.

But in our role as parents, we have learned about the charming characteristic of children with Down Syndrome. The specifics of Down Syndrome still is not fully understood in Japan, which is why can still sense some forms of discrimination. We have come to realize that those with Down Syndrome have kind hearts and so much love for the people and things in their life.

They also have a great amount of potential and unrecognized ability that has long been hidden due to a bias against their condition.People with intellectual disabilities such as Down Syndrome, naturally have the same hopes and dreams.

As kids, they receive the kind of education that we received without question and attend schools every day just as we all did. They grow up having the same dreams that we all had as children.
